SHIHAN-DAI MCFARLAND

Sensei Lew McFarland  is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Shorin Ryu Karate, and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Ryukyu Kobudo (Ancient Weaponry).  He began his training with Shihan Marques McCammon (6th Degree Black Belt and Vice Director of the International Shorin-Ryu Kiyobukan) in 2012 and is currently the Shihan-Dai (Assistant Chief Instructor) of the NRK Karate Home Dojo in San Marcos, California. Sensei McFarland is the proud father of twins who are both 2nd Degree Black Belts, former USA National and USA Open Karate champions, and assistant instructors in his program.  He is currently a US National Karate Certified Coach Level II, and a Regional Judge under the USA National Karate Federation, the governing body for Olympic Karate in the United States, and a Shidoin (certified instructor) at NRK Karate.  Learn More
